Position:
Teaching Assistant**
Location:Totton, Hampshire**
Contract Type:Long-term, Full-time**
Hours of Work:Monday to Friday, Term Time Only (8.30 am to 3.35 pm, non-negotiable)**
Salary:£90-£100 per day, paid weekly**
About The School: The Supply Room is recruiting for a
special school catering to pupils aged
4 to 17 years.
profound and complex difficulties,
severe learning difficulties, and
autism. Recently inspected by Ofsted, they were judged as a
'Good' school overall, with an
'Outstanding' rating in personal development. Their dedicated, friendly, and highly skilled staff provide an exciting, balanced curriculum that emphasizes both personal and academic success. They operate across two sites (Primary and Secondary), and staff may be required to work on either site.
Role Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic, inspiring, resilient, and skilled
Teaching Assistants to join the school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and well-being.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and activities.
- Providing individualized support to students with diverse needs.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Contributing to the overall development and progress of our students.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 12 months' experience working with children, particularly those with SEND, although this is not required.
- A passion for working with children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- The ability to work effectively within a team.
