Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a
HR Advisor to join our HR Department at our
Aylesford and Sittingbourne sites.

You will be required to share your time between the 2 sites each week.


As HR Advisor you will provide first line advice to people managers across the business to ensure that issues are managed fairly and consistently, in line with Company process, legislation and good practice and in support of the Company aim to be an employer of choice.


This is a full time, permanent position working
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm offering a competitive salary and package with the opportunity to work for a forward thinking market leader.


Job responsibilities of HR Advisor include:

  • Provide an advisory service to the business on HR casework ensuring that it is efficient and applied with consistency, in the interests of fairness and to mitigate risks.
  • Support with Recruitment activities including the production of Job Descriptions and Person Specifications and arranging job evaluations and job grading via Group.
  • Participate in Selection activities, liaising with the Group Resourcing Team regarding interviews and the FW HR Analyst to arrange SHL assessments and supporting line managers as needed.
  • Maintain and continuously review the Company Induction process, ensuring that all colleagues have access to a good onboarding process.
  • Ensure that variations to terms and conditions are made in accordance with current rules and practices and that correspondence is issued accurately and timely.
  • Maintain the HR information system in a timely manner with file notes; casework updates; occupational health records etc to ensure accurate MI can be produced
  • Support and provide resource for the implementation of business change and TUPE transfers
  • Work with line managers across area of responsibility to support the identification of individual training and learning requirements and liaise with the Culina L&D team to ensure the development takes place.
  • Support the production and delivery of PET Plans for sites / departments within area of responsibility.
  • Work across the HR Operations Team to ensure the delivery of all Colleague Engagement Plans, working with the Benefits and Charity Champions to upskill them to support their Depots.
  • Work across the HR Operations Team, to develop tools and resources to continuously improve the ability to deliver a seamless and professional service to the business and to work with other parts of the HR department to implement them successfully.
  • Contribute to the review of people related processes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Support the delivery of specific oneoff projects to support the HR Strategic Plan

Qualifications

  • Proven wide experience in a HR generalist advisory role
  • Experience of working in a very fast paced environment
  • Experience of working with people related MI and using it proactively to inform business decisions
  • Up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Awareness of ACAS Codes of Practice and HR best practice
  • Knowledge of the logistics and/or FMCG sector
  • Basic knowledge of key industry requirements e.g. AWR, WTD, Manual Handling, Driver regulations
  • Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude and rarely gives up
  • Driven by a desire to succeed
  • Appreciates the need to change when circumstances dictate
  • Willingly accepts new or different work or projects
  • Speaks / writes clearly and concisely
  • Listens carefully, shows interest in what others say and responds positively to questions
  • Takes personal responsibility for delivery of excellent work against agreed standards and aims to get it right first time.
  • Have a full UK Driving License and access to your own vehical
