Description

Civils and Utilities Project Engineer, permanent career opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer who has experience managing Utility Installation Engineers in the London area.

Ideally educated to Degree level in Civil Engineering, supported by a relevantutility discipline (Gas, Electric, Water and/or Ducting), your NRSWA certification coupled with your EUSR Card will stand you in good stead for this current vacancy.


Offering a highly competitive salary, excellent employee benefits and company car/car allowance, you will oversee several prestigious projects working closely with key customers to plan, devise and implement the delivery of works against project timescales,with a keen eye on cost and budgetary stipulations.


Naturally, there is an expectation to produce reports on all Works related projects, therefore excellent verbal and written communication skills are a given and will include the use of (MS Office - Outlook, Word and Excel).

You will work closely with thewider planning team to prioritise, implement and scope out new projects, ensuring that current projects are delivering against SLA's.


The organisation and costing of subcontract labour requirements/PPE/plant and any related equipment is also a key responsibility of this role.

Other duties will include full responsibility for all Health and Safety matters, investigating any site, employeeand company incident within the statutory 72-hour period, submitting reports to the necessary Bodies, driving through NRSWA legislation, Health and Safety, and all codes of practice pertinent to the wider Civil works activities.


As Civils and Utilities Project Engineer, you will manage your own time and movements, therefore allowing for a hybrid working situation, including home, depot and field based.

The ability to motivate and encourage your wider team of Utility Engineers andsubcontractors is a key requisite, working together to acknowledge the importance of providing high quality standards of work, meeting regularly to assess and review, meeting those in Local Authority, third parties and other Public Bodies and Civil Teams.

Ensuring that all regulated and associated training is delivered in line with Civils compliance, reviewing and assessing all project work, meeting with key customers to update and provide progress.
