Our school has been on a transformational journey, and we are looking for a new Head of Year to be part of our dynamic and ambitious pastoral team and our wider Academy Leadership Team that will lead the next exciting leap forward as we challenge educational disadvantage by defining an ambitious, replicable and sustainable school model that supports children from communities like ours to thrive at top third universities and highly competitive apprenticeships.


About the role:


This is a data driven leadership role that leads a team of tutors and works as part of our wider pastoral team to meet the needs of the year group they serve and ensure that every child in our school is seen, known and supported to do their best learning and be happy at school.


As Head of Year, your job is to navigate your pupils through the year, overcoming the barriers they will face and celebrate their successes along the way.

You will need to build positive professional relationships with the pupils in your year groups and critically their families so that parents and carers are empowered to take responsibility for the key role they play in their child's success at school.

Ultimately the Head of Year role is to ensure that every child is ready to learn.

That means they are in school, on time, with the right equipment and uniform, they understand how to complete their homework and are organised for their week ahead.

It means that they have fully understand the purpose behind each of our school routines and understand our expectations for them.

A great Head of Year can transform the lives of 220 pupils in a year group. This role is important and transformational. Are you ready to make the difference?
