Description
We are excited to work with Coventry University in their search for a Project Finance Assistant, working in their Property Development and Technical Services team to provide project and financial support to the team.
Internally called a Project Management Support Officer, the position will be pivotal in ensuring that any and all projects, reports, and data analysis are produced and delivered on time, to a high standard of compliance and quality.
A large part of the role will be financial with a variety of focuses, such as purchasing, procurement, invoicing, and budget tracking for effective purchasing control, as well as providing regular reports relating to project expenditure from GFS, and updates on the status of projects.
The successful Project Finance Assistant would also act as the first point of contact for contractors requiring access to the site, as well as investigating any queries from suppliers relating to invoices and orders.
The ideal Project Finance Assistant will have:
- English and Maths at GCSE level or higher, as well as a basic understanding of accounting
- Strong administrative experience as well as experience in a finance or project assistant role
- Significant experience in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel. Access and Project would also be an advantage, as would Agresso
- Experience in preparing reports and analysing data, with the ability to track budgets
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with stakeholders professionally
