Are you a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner? Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity to work within South Tynesides Mental Health Support Team the Healthy Minds Team? Do you have motivation, drive and commitment to supporting children and young peoples mental health? If so this could be the opportunity for you.


We have an exciting opportunity to be part of The Health Minds Team as a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner.

The post holder will work collaboratively with our education sites across the borough to provide early intervention and preventative evidence based clinical interventions to children and young people to promote resilience and support their emotional wellbeing.

The post holder will be responsible for working in a timely fashion, building positive relationships with schools, aid in delivering consultation and training, and be a positive and professional role model for the service.

The post holder will have the EMHP qualification and relevant skills in delivering Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LICBT).


The post holder will have specific knowledge and experience of working with children and young people who have mental health difficulties, and ideally have experience of working with schools or within education settings.

The post holder will work within the aims and objectives of the Mental Health Support Team set out in the Mental Health Green Paper, and parameters set out by NHS England.
