We currently have an opportunity for a Shift Operative to join us in Kirkcaldy. The role will suit a hands on, enthusiastic team player, with a can do attitude.

We are a relatively small team so some work will require you to work with mínimal supervision and you may be required to take on tasks outside of your normal work and to help others meet objectives.

You will work a 12-hour continental shift pattern of an 8-week cycle consisting of days, nights and weekends, flexibility may be required in order to meet the business needs.

The main duties of the role include:

Operating the flour transfer & blending systems
Assisting with basic laboratory analysis
Operating the weighbridge and wheat intake systems
Adhering to Health & Safety, Food Safety and Critical Control Point responsibilities
Carrying out daily checks in line with departmental procedures
Being contactable milling support for all operational departments
Ensuring that the mill and cleaning lines are set up to meet quality specifications, and to maximise efficiency.

Experience of working in the food industry.

Ability and willingness to learn additional technical and mechanical skills and expand knowledge of the operational functions.
