DurhamGate Care Home located near Spennymoor, Durham is recruiting for a brilliantly organised team player to join us as the Deputy Home manager.

You will join the organisation at an exciting time of growth. You will report to the Care Manager and General Manager and be supported by a strong Operations Team.

You will be responsible for providing support and leadership to the staff, hands on care and creating a culture of resident focus and quality of service.

Also whilst establishing and maintaining relationships with residents, the staff team and key internal and external stakeholders.

DurhamGate is a new purpose built luxury care home due to open in October 2023. Come and join us as we build the team for the first new care home in Durham in over fifteen years

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Always present a compassionate and professional image.
  • If you have an NVQ 3 and experience of being a deputy manager or senior care assistant looking for the next step, and feel you have the skills to lead a great team.
  • You are a kind, warm and compassionate person with a can
- do attitude.

  • Supervise and mentor staff team and able to develop the team.
  • Someone who is aligned to our values, committed to highest standards of care and compliant with CQC regulation.
  • Have the ability to plan and prioritise workloads with an eye for details.
  • Deputy role requires someone who has excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise, focus and has sense of responsibility and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility requires for this role and commits flexible individual who will go above and beyond for our residents and their families.
  • Able to work with staff team, health professionals and all other stakeholders.
  • Able to cover the shift on short notice to meet the needs of residents.
  • Handle enquiries, 'show arounds', visitors, and resident and relative requests.
  • Have excellent verbal/written communication skills.
