Sacco Mann have been exclusively instructed on a Head of Patent Formalities opportunity to join a sizeable Patent team within the impressive London based IP group of a well-established and hugely reputable firm.
Joining this global practice you will be warmly welcomed into the expert Patent team directly managing a group of Patent Paralegals and Records specialists.
Spanning multiple sites but with the majority of the group sitting within the London hub this is a really exciting prospect for an expert Patent Paralegal or Manager to step up into a Head of Patent Formalities position.
Essentially you will have no less than 10 years' experience in Patent Formalities, ideally with recent management/team lead or supervisory experience.
The CIPA qualification will be considered advantageous however those with relevant and demonstrable Patent experience without this qualification will also be considered.
This is a high performing, fast paced team and you can guarantee no two days to be the same as this group continues to flourish and grow at impressive speed.
Part of the continued growth of the team, you will play a strategic part in the direction of the practice, getting involved in process management and streamlining procedures.
You will work closely alongside Partners and Senior Managers to drive the practice forward whilst maintaining an excellent standard of practice across teams and within client care.
Day to day, you can expect to manage, update and implement workflows. Oversee procedures and process compliance. You will review current processes, identifying suitable improvements as well as delegating and supervising workloads for the wider team.You will be critical in onboarding sizeable patent portfolios, simplifying patent prosecution invoicing and getting regularly involved in system updates, records and data management.
You must have superlative communication, time management and organisational skills as you will regularly liaise with colleagues at all levels as well as external stakeholders from time to time.
