CVSL002A**We have an exciting Research Assistant opportunity for an experienced speech and language therapist to be part of our new research project in exploring the use of laryngeal ultrasound in the paediatric population.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in ultrasound, public and patient involvement and in developing your research skills and profile.

The role of Research Assistant is based in the Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences.

The post offers the opportunity to contribute to the our latest research project on developing the use of ultrasound within Speech and Language Therapy clinical practice, with a specific focus on paediatric laryngeal ultrasound.


The role holder will be working closely with Dr Joan Ma (Queen Margaret University) and Dr Mari Vivers (St Mary's Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust).

The role holder will be involved in the public and patient involvement work around the development of paediatric laryngeal ultrasound, developing the skills in paediatric laryngeal ultrasound and collecting normative data.

The role holder will be responsible for planning their workload in liaison with the Principal Investigator; the role holder will be expected to exercise judgement and initiative when dealing with problems and contribute positively to the research team.
