Our client is a global centre for nuclear engineering management. They have pioneered the harnessing of nuclear power to generate electricity for the country. They are currently seeking a document controller to join their multi-functional team on a 1-yearfixed-term contract.
You will be supporting the wider team in the management of project documentation in accordance with our client's procedures.
Your will:
- Provide a Document Control service
- Support the project documentation (electronic or hard copy) from creation to retention and on into archiving
- Undertake instruction updates / incorporate changes into documents and validations at the request of the Document Owners.
- Register and action project documentation via the DaISY system, including amending and replacing documents
- Maintain a document management system, manually or electronic
- Maintain document history and authentication (versions & revisions) in line with the Document Approval Committee (DAC) Process
- Ensure all documentation transmitted is recorded and traceable
- Maintain a controlled and secure storage location for project documentation
- Conduct a check on all project documentation to ensure the standards are met
- Handle documentation in line with project security and document security classifications
- Correct handling of the Document Control department and Project Templates
- Assist in Internal audits as required
- Handover of Documentation, Retention and Archiving
- Coordinating the agenda, papers and minutes for the departmental Document Approval Committee (DAC)
- Minutetaking at the departmental Document Approval Committee (DAC)
- Photocopying, Scanning and departmental Administration
Essential skills, experience, and qualifications you need:

- Minimum of 2 years of administration/document control
- Sound Knowledge of Document Control and the Records Management Process.
- Be able to take instruction and communicate well
- Undertake Training on our clients' Document Management system (DaISY)
- Minimum of 5 GSCEs
- Working Knowledge of Office Products
- Preferable Document Control Qualification
