Contract: 0.4fte Fractional, Permanent

Hours: 14.8 per week

Salary:
£24,051 - £47,333 (Pro-Rata)

An opportunity exists within the ESOL department for the appointment of a permanent ESOL Lecturer on a fractional contract.


Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking of all pedagogic work such as lesson preparation, classroom teaching, tutorial work, marking and administration.
  • Conducting student assessments in order to place students, monitor progress and identify learning support needs
  • Providing appropriate student support in order to meet both the academic and welfare needs of learners and ensuring that all relevant information is recorded on the appropriate College system
  • Undertaking all organisational and administrative work associated with the above. This includes attending team meetings, taking part in professional development activities and staff appraisals, maintaining accurate teachingrelated records including details of assessment and attendance
Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.
