Origin Multilingual is proud to announce we are recruiting for a Bar Supervisor to join a boutique hotel in Central London.
Primary Duties:
Managing team members; to lead by example and ensure smooth day-to-day operation of all aspects of the bar as well as manages the bar in the absence of a Food & Beverage Supervisor.
- Understand the aims of the Hotel and agree departmental objectives and communicate them
- To ensure all administration, ordering and planning of the bar meets the daily needs of the
interests.
- To direct all activities of the bar to maintain and improve productivity, food and drink quality,
budget and business goals.
- To ensure all food and drink items are accounted for through ePOS system
- To ensure monthly stock take of all beverages and quarterly equipment stock take and to
- To assist the Bar Manager to ensure monthly stock take of all beverages and
- To ensure all beverage items are ordered on time and through a requisition document only.
- To follow doors are locked before completing cashing up procedures and are recorded as per
- To place orders for food and beverage items relating to the bar with the Head Chef on time as
- To positively promote sales awareness within the department and maximize sales
- To ensure Bar is secured at end of shift; concierge, front door, back door
- To liaise with Supervisors to ensure the information is communicated and a good working
- To create an environment which promotes employee morale and encourages the team to have
- To attend hotel and departmental meetings whenever required and to efficiently communicate
- To assist Food & Beverage Manager in training and coaching staff.
- To ensure all staff meet their position requirements.
- To liaise with the Food and Beverage Manager for disciplinary procedures.
- To ensure the staff area is kept clean and replenished with food and beverage items, this
- To ensure Bar stock for Night Manager is filled to par levels
- To ensure staff follow opening, closing procedures, service standards and any changes are
- To promote a helpful and professional image to guest and staff and give full cooperation to
- To deal with any guest complaint and to investigate in any complaint letter or negative
- To be knowledgeable of all products, Menus and standards within the departments.
- In the absence of a Supervisor to report any allegations of food poisoning/foreign objects in
