Salary:
£40k + shift allowance + bonus


We are currently looking for someone to join our EU Onshore Control Centre team as a Back Office Control Operator.

You will be working as part of a 24/7/365 12hr shift team based in Swindon, UK which requires a diligent and trustworthy person to aid us in the monitoring and operation of our renewable assets ensuring we maximise availability and production whilst maintaining the highest health and safety standards.


Responsibilities

  • Part of a 24/7 team monitoring and operating wind, battery storage, and solar portfolio.
  • Dealing with HV operational faults.
  • Monitoring and resetting turbines as per individual wind farm needs.
  • Meeting commercial targets and ensuring compliance.
  • Reporting unavailability to maximize revenue.
  • Coordinating with Front Office control rooms.
  • Liaising with multiple stakeholders including Operations, Commercial, grid operators, HV Engineers, etc.
  • Outofhours issue analysis and reporting of system issues.
  • Understanding and implementing safety rules.

Requirements:


  • Operational Controller status under WTSR.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Good communication skills to discuss engineering issues.
  • At least 2 years' experience in control operations an advantage.
  • Ability to execute all OOCRE tasks to procedure.
  • Knowledge of turbine operations and faults, ability to analyse data and understand failures is an advantage.
  • An understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Experience with High Voltage systems and safety requirements is an advantage.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills. Excellent English skills, knowledge of German, Spanish or other languages is an advantage.
