Infrastructure Engineer - Banking or Financial exp:

  • 6 month rolling contract.
- circa £500+ per day (Inside IR35).

  • 3 days remote / 2 days office based (very flexible on office location as they have multiple offices around the UK).

Our client is a household name in the banking industry. We are currently helping them to bring on an Infrastructure Engineer on a very exciting new project.


Job Description for Infrastructure Engineer - Banking or Financial exp:

The bank is growing their Infrastructure Engineering teams to support a number of strategic transformational initiatives led by their Group Transformation area.


As one of their Infrastructure Engineers you'll act as a primary point of contact for infrastructure solutions delivery for an aligned Group Transformation project.


Accountable for the systems integration of infrastructure solutions to time and quality standards you'll deliver key Value Stream aligned objectives without impacting on the service.


Responsibilities for Infrastructure Engineer - Banking or Financial exp:

  • You'll provide technical systems integration expertise in collaboration with your Transformation colleagues by working within a squad/project team.
  • You'll transform business requirements and specifications into detailed designs.
  • Building in infrastructure specific requirements for delivery.
  • Taking the lead in all aspects of infrastructure change within the project goals throughout their lifecycle means you could be involved with infrastructure build activities or leading the resources supporting the project through the testing cycles and intothe live environment.
  • Support Disaster Recovery tests if applicable and lead resources to address infrastructure defects.

Non technical responsibilities:


  • Working with Engineering you'll segment larger workloads into discrete project elements and produce/own cost estimate for infrastructure change.
  • You'll provide ongoing estimates of demand planning for CIO and 3rd party resources and forecast the infrastructure components required to support the project team goals.

Technical Infrastructure experience required:

We'd be looking for varying levels of experience across the following areas:

  • Exposure to multiple infrastructure technologies (Server, Storage, Network) in a Design and/or implementation role.
  • Experience of Cloud migration would be desirable.
  • Experience of endtoend project delivery.
  • Previous Banking/Finance industry experience is essential.
