Our client, an industry leader in vintage appareal is looking for their next Financial Controller who will report to the CEO and manage a small finance team.


The Financial Controller will ensure strong accounting and reporting throughout the group, including overseeing and monitoring an effective control environment and providing strategic information and financial direction to the management team with a focuson company profitability.

Responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness, maintenance and development of all financial systems and information within the business. Including local, group and regulatory reporting.


Responsibilities:


  • To own the revenue budgets and forecasts with regular review of business forecasting for both P&L and short term cash flow.
  • To review the adequacy and accuracy of Company business control systems
  • To manage cash flow, by tracking debtors and creditors and regularly reviewing data.
  • To undertake the annual budgeting process, as well as periodic forecasts in conjunction with budget owners, holding budget owners
  • To work with the incountry accountants to prepare and agree a group wide integrated forecast each year, including agreement of sales margin, and attributable cost forecasts with the relevant group channel leaders
  • To support activities such as; restructuring, M&A Activities, Commercial investments/feasibility, refinancing and Joint venture opportunities
  • To deliver insightful business performance analysis, to continually develop and implement the longterm vision and strategy of the group
  • To ensure accuracy of Group payroll ensuring timely payments to employees, government agencies, pension schemes etc.
  • To provide weekly group financial KPI reports to the Group SLT, and board attending SLT meetings to report on the same, providing insightful commentary.
  • To devise, agree and be responsible for a refined set of weekly group financial KPIs and reporting templates.
  • To act as a visible leader to the operational leadership team, instilling a culture of commercial support and business partnering.
  • To consolidate and report monthly group results to shareholders.

Requirements:


  • Experience in Retail/Wholesale/Multichannel
  • Management experience
  • Experience using Quickbooks
  • 5+ years in Senior Finance
  • Ideally an SME backbround
  • Available to start on shrt notice (2 weeks or less)
Salary is up to £65,000pa
