Description

The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking Research Assistants to work with a research group led by Professor Lucie Cluver.

The research covers a broad spectrum of themes which relate to improving the lives of children and adolescents in resource-limited settings, and in crisis contexts of conflict, climate, and pandemic emergency.

This work is centred around efforts to support positive outcomes within education, poverty reduction, gender-sensitive programming, health, and violence prevention.

The research focuses on two primary intervention strategies which are parenting support and social protection (e.g. cash transfers), and also investigates their provision together in the form of 'cash plus care'. There is also a particular focus on adolescents living with HIV and adolescent mothers.

The Research Assistant position is an opportunity to work with Professor Lucie Cluver and a multi-disciplinary research team.

The post holder will be based in Oxford and the role will involve regular communication with research investigators, postdoctoral researchers, students, and project management team.

This is a 12-month fixed-term (variable hours) post.
