We are looking for a Risk Assurance Analyst to join the team on a hybrid basis in the Peterborough office. (They are flexible on other locations too)

Overview:

As a Risk Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Risk & Compliance Assurance Team's annual risk assurance plan.

Involvement in all elements of the risk assurance review process, from notification and planning through to testing and reporting including the collation of testing results for discussion with key stakeholders and collaboration with business areas to agreeappropriate actions for remediation and improvement.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining and executing against assigned areas of the annual risk assurance plan, providing progress updates and outcomes of completed testing.
Responsible for reporting results and proposed actions back to operational management to agree actions for any areas where controls and processes could be improved.
Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to follow up on actions, supporting timely completion and escalating effectively when necessary.
Support with reporting by providing insight on risk metrics and assurance activities.
Input into the scope areas for the annual risk assurance plan
Maintenance of assurance records including updating the Risk Management System with reports and action tracking evidence.

Qualifications:

Maintaining a solid and current level of knowledge of group risk areas, as well as a working understanding of FCA regulations, CMA regulations, FOS requirements and ICO requirements.
Understanding of key operational, technology, conduct / regulatory processes, and backoffice processes relevant to assigned assurance activities.
Working knowledge (ideally gained through prior experience) of customer systems.
Thorough and detailed approach to methodical testing, evidencing, and recording results.
Good written skills to document findings and propose actions.
Strong relationships with operational management to enable effective feedback of results which leads to actions to improve control.
Appropriate qualifications (ICA / IRM / IIA) or willingness to work towards it
