The Firm


Delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading national Legal Firms to find a Corporate Governance Specialist to join their Business Risk, Investigation, Compliance and Secretarial Team (BRICS) in an exciting position based in Worcester.

With modern offices close by to commuter links, a hybrid working model and an extremely competitive salary (up to £55,000 DOE), this is an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Governance Specialist looking for a new opportunity in Worcester.


Main Duties of the BRICS Team:

The Business Risk, Investigation, Compliance and Secretarial Team (BRICS) Team provides governance advice and support to clients in a variety of sectors, including providing training to independent schools and academies on their company secretarial reporting requirements and duties; answering queries regarding directors' conflicts of interest and directors' duties; providing general meeting advice and support and writing articles to ensure clients are kept up to date with their legal obligations.


The Main Duties of a

Corporate Governance Specialist*:


  • Corporate due diligence reporting including reviews of statutory registers and Companies House records
  • Company law and corporate governance advice; and
  • Maintain corporate central resources precedents and knowledge bank for the department
  • Someone who has the experience to sit between the NQ and the Legal Director

Skills and Qualifications of a

Corporate Governance Specialist*:


  • Enthusiastic and someone who is comfortable networking across the business
  • Particular interest in corporate governance
  • Able to work flexibly
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships
  • Excellent technical ability and drafting skills
  • Can demonstrate teamwork and relationship building skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Proactive, ambitious and organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Willingness to nurture and teach junior members of the team
