The Opportunity:


Arup requires a Senior Geospatial Consultant to work within a multi-disciplinary team on a diverse range of engineering, environmental and planning projects.

As a highly motivated professional, your daily role will include:


Your role will include coordinating GIS-related activities and managing project tasks for environmental, planning, and infrastructure projects of various scales and types.

Delivering a full suite of GIS solutions as and when required by internal and external clients, from simple cartography through to full enterprise solutions.

There will be a focus on delivery of ArcGIS server based solutions

Data management, relational database development, data visualisations, cartography, spatial analysis, technical consultancy/advisory, automation/scripting of spatial tasks including the use of FME or ArcPy, web app development, and many other GIS linked tasks

  • Highly experienced in the use of Geospatial Software on desktop, enterprise, and cloud & web hosted systems
  • Current track record of providing GIS coordination and project task management, in a consulting environment, including the management and mentoring of junior geospatial staff.
  • Practical experience of data manipulation using tools such as FME or scripting languages such as python, including ArcPy
  • Experience of implementing ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Server, Portal, Enterprise Geodatabases, ArcGIS Online)
  • Experience with conversion and handling of a variety of 2D & 3D spatial, CAD and survey data formats including GIS, CAD, IFC, LiDAR (LAS), CSV, XML variants
  • Experience of developing, deploying and managing relational databases including, data schema modelling and writing SQL queries within RDBMS

Qualifications:


  • Ideally a professional certification or accreditation such as Chartered Geographer (GIS) or equivalent professional level, ESRI certified for Enterprise, FME professional certification
