Coventry Property Surveys is an Energy Consultancy and Surveying company based in Coventry City Centre. We provide a range of services to Estate Agents, Landlords, Solicitors, Commercial Businesses, and the General Public.


Our business is growing rapidly and has become one of the busiest companies in this sector, due to the exemplary customer service that we provide.


We are currently recruiting for a 'Trainee Domestic Energy Assessor' who will be required to assess residential properties for their energy efficiency and produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), and Floor Plan for the sale or rent.


This is a fantastic opportunity, with full training provided by licensed accreditors, leading to your official Domestic Energy Assessor Level 3 (DEA) qualification.

Once accredited, we will provide you with the ongoing help and support for your career progression.


A trainee salary will be provided initially, however once fully trained, and confident in your day-to-day role, the salary will increase accordingly.


Although our offices are based in Coventry City Centre, you will be required to work from home (when not out on property assessments), so good internet access and space for a home office is desirable.


Essential requirements for the role:

  • Minimum Grade 5 (C grade) GCSE in Math's and English
  • Full, clean driving license and own reliable vehicle
  • Excellent time management
  • Able to build relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Positive 'cando' attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Discipline and selfcontrol to be a homebased worker and meet targets
  • Flexibility to work around our customers' requirements

Domestic Energy Assessor - Day-to-Day Role:

  • Complete Domestic Energy Assessments and analyze findings
  • Issue Energy Performance Certificates and complete written reports
  • Liaise with clients and build lasting relationships
  • Complete property marketing floor plans
  • You will be in a fully remote role therefore you will be responsible for travelling in your own vehicle to the properties, mileage will be paid as an expense
  • Flexibility out of normal hours to complete extra work based on the demands of the company, when required (overtime paid).
  • A good understanding of math's equations and areas.
