Job Profile


Jo Holdsworth recruitment are currently recruiting a Commercial Manager to work within the marketing department of The Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) on a long-term temporary basis - 12 months covering maternity leave.


Your role will involve managing existing relationships with commercial partners and securing new revenue streams and opportunities for the Party.

This role will also involve working with Treasurers, Conservative Research Department, Financial Compliance,Digital and Marketing colleagues to expand their relationships into new sponsorship and partnership arenas.

Their Party Conference is Europe's largest political gathering, and this opportunity would afford the successful applicant with unparalleled experiencewithin the global MICE market.


  • Responsibilities will include, but not limited to; _
  • Own and drive the Party's exhibition and fringe sales, as well as sponsorship agreements for Dedicated Spaces, Lounges, Marquees, regional and special events.
  • Sell advertising across digital and print channels including virtual platform and app
  • Manage client contracts and oversee invoicing and debt process for sales generated.
  • Provide regular financial (sales activity) reports to senior management team and contribute to budgeting process.
  • Monitor and regularly review other largescale conferences (both political and non)
  • Maintain relations with top 25 PR and lobbying firms and venuelinked tourist organisations to promote Conference
  • Line manage the Event Coordinator /Sales Support role
  • In collaboration with the Exhibition & Delivery Manager, hold debriefs with clients to understand requirements for future years.
**Experience, skills set and/or qualifications required: - Detailed oriented and deadline driven with solid project management skills.

  • A proven ability to communicate effectively with other internal and external teams.]
  • A background in Sales, Marketing, Project Management
  • Outstanding sales and relationship management skills.
  • Experience of online and virtual events desirable
  • Experience in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) sales and marketing required.
  • Confident and proactive, able to develop new and creative ideas to support revenue targets.
  • Embraces challenges with enthusiasm and creativity.

Hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
