Job Description:


AECOM is seeking to hire an
Associate Director Environment Due Diligence (EDD) specialist to lead the UK and Ireland EDD Team which is part of the Environmental, Health and Safety discipline.

This is a strategic role.

You will be expected to develop strategy to accelerate growth of EDD delivery, collaborating extensively with the environmental and technical due diligence teams globally.

The strategy is to include Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in the context of due diligence.

Location is flexible but you will need to be able to travel as required.


Job Duties:


  • Develop and drive strategy for market growth, working with key colleagues in UK and Ireland as well as the wider EMEA community.
  • This role will require collaboration with our colleagues in the other regions to deliver a seamless global offering in environmental due diligence.
  • Lead on technical excellence and innovation through AECOMs Technical Practice Network as the UK and Ireland lead for the Global EDD Technical Practice Group. This will include embedding ESG and sustainable finance into our market offering.
  • Collaborate with other relevant disciplines (e.g. property due diligence, site selection due diligence and international project finance teams) to enhance AECOM's integrated due diligence market share.
  • Support and help develop existing key client accounts, analyze relevant markets for new potential key clients and support development of key new client development strategies.
  • Share the responsibility for the success of the due diligence practice, including technical, commercial, and best practice aspects.
  • Lead and direct due diligence commissions, directing both the technical and commercial aspects of projects that may often involve multiplegeography delivery teams.
  • Drive industry best practice across the EDD practice, including enhancement of our deliverables and advisory service to clients.
  • Collaborate with AECOM's wider business to deliver added value and continuous improvement to EDD and wider standards, processes and knowledge including digital delivery of EDD services and ESG.
  • Lead and manage our due diligence professionals across UK and Ireland.
  • Lead, develop and manage client relationships to including the growth of our client portfolio through targeted business development.
  • A wide range of EDD delivery experience across multiple sectors, ideally including the equity, commercial, technology and industrial sectors.
  • A demonstrable and mature network of client contacts.
  • Strong leadership experience in delivering EDD programs and portfolios.
  • Must have good experience in ESG delivery in the context of EDD
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the relevant global and regional legal aspects impacting EDD and ESG
  • Extensive experience in bidding, winning, and delivering EDD across individual and portfolios of assets.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, managing and supporting the career development of a team
  • Extensive experience in developing and delivering on EDD strategy.
  • Ideally, you will have experience of delivering technical reports via a range of software options, and you will be excited about how you will seek to bring digital innovation to the EDD practice

  • Experience of networking with, working in and project managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Awareness of new technologies and legislation, as appropriate.
  • Experience of all aspects of financial management of professional instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant degree, for example a degree in Environmental Science or in Engineering.
