The position of Community Fundraiser is a vital link between the hospital and the charity along with the local community.

It requires a knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that inspires patients, NHS staff, the local community and a wider audience to choose Bradford Hospitals' Charity as their preferred charity to donate and fundraise for.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive community and events fundraising strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • To manage community fundraising ensuring relationships with supporters/fundraisers are managed effectively.
  • Identify, plan, and coordinate a diverse range of fundraising events.
  • Cultivate relationships with individuals, community groups, and businesses to encourage their participation and support in fundraising events and activities.
  • Provide excellent stewardship to existing supporters, recognising their contributions and maintaining longterm relationships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, social media content, and online campaigns to promote events and engage a wider audience.
  • To manage, meet and exceed the annual Community Fundraising income target for the charity.
  • To provide excellent stakeholder management and fundraising experience to ensure good retention of donors.
  • To be responsible for the leadership of Community Events, including managing the event, venue selection, budgeting, risk assessments and volunteer coordination.
  • Analyse datadriven insights to evaluate the success of events and campaigns, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on community and events fundraising income, expenses, and ROI to the Head of Fundraising.
  • Manage a team volunteers, ensuring they are wellprepared and motivated for their event/fundraising roles.
  • Ability to use a CRM database to log data, run reports and marketing campaigns.
Working as part of a Team

  • The post holder will work closely with finance, the Communications Team and Volunteering Team to deliver efficient and effective fundraising activity.
  • The post holder will engage staff from across the Trust in supporting the Charity in fundraising activity.
Managing Self

  • Participate in regular supervision.
  • Attend all mandatory training.
  • Participate annually identifying, developing, and agreeing your own development plan with your line manager using the Trust Appraisal process.
  • Comply with all Trust policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Pay regard to materials and equipment.
  • Carry out duties with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunity Policy.
  • Seek advice and support from your line manager whenever necessary.
Financial Responsibility

  • Responsible for the management of fundraising activity expenditure.
  • Responsible for the collection of donations and Corporate financial target
  • Responsible for the sign off of volunteer expenses.
