We have a very exciting and challenging opportunity for a full-time Operations Support Assistant to join the Operations Directorate in the Central Education Support Team to help and assist the team in supporting and providing services to all the academies within the Trust.

The role:


You will provide high quality administrative support and assist in a variety of project-based work for the whole of the Operations Team, where you will gain exceptional knowledge of how we support our academies as well as gaining exceptional knowledge of different areas of working within the education sector.


You will provide project and administrative support across the range of teams within the Operations Directorate departments, which includes Health & Safety, Estates Management, Procurement, Catering, Projects, Contract Management and Business Continuity and help in delivering services to the Trust and its academies.


Duties will include - (with support and under supervision):

  • Providing a full range of administrative support to the Operations team.
  • Managing small scale projects, working to timelines and assisting with projectbased work to support the Operations Directorate in effectively supporting academies.
  • Researching, preparing and editing correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents, as instructed.
  • Arranging, coordinating and communicating details for meetings, training and events, as required, including booking meeting rooms and providing refreshments and minute taking where required.
  • Minuting of confidential management meetings and distribution of notes, including travel to academies, if required.
  • Reviewing operating practices and implementing improvements where necessary
  • Diary management, including arranging appointments/meetings as appropriate.
  • Collation of Trust estates information and support/delivery of estates processes

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is confident in the use of IT systems and software packages; particularly MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Teams, One Drive, Outlook.
  • Has experience of working within an office environment.
  • Can work as part of a team or work on own initiative and be proactive and flexible in approach to tasks.
  • Has excellent customer service skills as well as excellent communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills and the ability to perform complex, varied workloads.
  • Has good attention to detail and excellent organisational skills to assist with project work
