Main Responsibilities & Duties

Act as specialist for credit matters, taking responsibility for credit relating to the Nedbank Private Wealth banking team.
Proactive input into the development of the credit proposition, working with other Credit specialists to deliver product and service improvements.
Proactively promote and protect NPW's lending ability by attending networking and relevant industry events.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build trust and interact effectively with both customers and staff.
Undertake administrative tasks relating to managing a loan book including the composition of credit proposals, credit memos, client reviews & CRM management.
Keep abreast of regulatory change, influencing the lending proposition where necessary.
Assist the Private Bankers with lending renewals and reviews in a timely fashion.
Assist the Lending team with managing any risks that the Bank faces as a result of providing finance e.g. recoveries.
Undertake regulated mortgage calls with prospective lending clients.
Assist with the development of others within the business as required.
Monitor pipeline and repayments to enable accurate forecasting.
Undertake continuous professional development in accordance with professional institute and regulatory requirements and keep up to date with developments within the industry, complying with the Bank's Training and Competency policy.
Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and flexibility in order to deal with the demands of the job
Use written communication skills to influence credit sanctions.
Respond quickly and effectively to client and team demands.

Qualifications
Required - CeMap or equivalent lending qualification.

Technical Skills and Experience

2 years lending into regulated markets.
Commercial awareness of the business and external markets
