WARD CLERK VACANCIES - MEDICAL UNIT HORTON HOSPITAL
Vacancies have arisen within the Medical Unit at the Horton Hospital for motivated individuals who enjoy working in a challenging and busy environment providing a comprehensive administrative service working flexibly across two medical wards.
The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with a diverse range of people in a sensitive and confidential manner.
Shift Patterns available:
2 x 4pm-7.30pm (17.5 hours per week)
To provide comprehensive and confidential administrative and clerical support to the ward team in accordance with the departmental and trust standards.
To keep a well organised ward and ensure all relevant systems and processes are kept up to date to ensure smooth patient care from admission to discharge.
To provide support and guidance to all colleagues internally and externally in a professional and informed manner.
The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Criteria
Essential
- *Education
- Good general level of education, GCSE or equivalent in English
- Good IT skills
- *Occupational
- NHS experience or experience in customer service environment
- *Special skills
- Analytical and judgement skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
- Excellent keyboard skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Able to work without supervision
