Job Summary


An opportunity to join the growing sales team at Arran Pipeline Supplies T/A Collister and Glover, a leading plumbing and engineers supply merchant, at our office in Deeside, North Wales.

Must have some prior knowledge of plumbing, heating and / or engineering products. The position is for a Full-Time role, Monday to Friday, typically working from approx.

8:30am to 5pm.


In terms of the company you would be joining, Arran Pipeline Supplies is an independent family-owned company, which was founded in Warrington in 1974.

Initially, the company specialised in the supply of steel pipe and fittings, quickly building a reputation for product knowledge, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service.


Since then, the company has expanded both geographically and in terms of its product offering, having opened a site in South Wales in 1989 and most recently through acquiring the business of Collister & Glover in Deeside.

Today, the company is part of the wider FDL Packaging Group, who have been operating across the UK for more than 50 years and remains fully family owned.

Responsibilities:


Main responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating with customers to understand their needs and identify sales opportunities
  • Providing quotations to Customers
  • Arranging delivery of goods to Customers
  • Building a close working relationship with both Customers and Suppliers
  • Develop and maintain new Customer business
  • Building relationships and working as a team within the office

Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with prior industry experience and thus some knowledge of plumbing, heating, and engineering products. The role will also require strong communication skills and a good telephone manner.

  • Some existing knowledge of plumbing products
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good numeracy skills to accurately calculate sales prices, discounts, and percentages when needed
  • Time management skills


As with all new salespersons, we will work with you over time to develop any required skills and to help you to get used to our operating systems.


Salary and Benefits

Salary:
£20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Deeside, CH5 2UA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Sales: 3 years (preferred)
  • Plumbing, heating, engineering knowledge or: 3 years (preferred)

  • United Kingdom (required)
