Lecturer - Animal Care

29.6 hours per week until July 2025

Salary Range £23,072 - £28,432

If so, then this role could be the perfect opportunity for you and to start your career as a Lecturer in the Animal Care department at The Sheffield College.

You will be working alongside a passionate and enthusiastic team for approximately 1 year to cover maternity initially

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

Delivering Btec Animal Management to levels 1-3. Teaching and assessing students aged 16+
Supporting learners to achieve
Recruiting and retaining learners on programme
Course leadership, curriculum development

After your first year with us, success would look like

Supporting the successful completion of current students
Recruiting and retaining new students to college
Undertaking further teacher training

Though ideally, you will:

Experience working in the animal care sector
Experience working with students
Teaching and/or assessor qualification
Familiarity with Btec and Tlevels
