We have an exciting opportunity for a team leader to join our team.

As a team leader will work with the management team to run effectively our Supported Accommodation for Young People in Birmingham.

We offer specialist Supported accommodation and outreach support to help young people assisting them to gain skills, confidence, and plan for a successful future.


About the Role


The team leader will be required to take part in 'on-call' 1 week out of 4 an on-call allowance will be added to the basic salary.


Some of the key responsibilities are the following:

  • Support the manager in the delivery of highquality supported living services.
  • Supervise staff and ensure they maintain robust records.
  • Implement a program of activities to help Young people achieve independent living outcomes.
  • Develop and implement robust support plans and risk assessments.
  • Ensure units are clean and tidy.
  • Carry out Health and Safety checks and audits
  • Ensure the service adheres and complies with Ofsted and CQC.
  • Liaise with professionals.
  • Write reports.
  • Hold NVQ/QCF Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent or prepared to train for the qualification within 18months.
  • Have at least 12 months' supervisory experience working with young people.
  • Have experience of adhering to Ofsted, CQC and Health and Safety standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Have experience in developing and implementing support plans, reports, and risk assessments.
  • Good IT literature.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving License with access to a car because travel is required to both of our units each day.
  • Be required to provide enhanced disclosure and satisfactory references.

Contract length: 12 months

Part-time hours: 20 per week

£12.00-£14.00 per hour
