Job Overview

We are looking for an individual who will be identifying, advising on, and managing all legal risks across from a business as usual, to project and litigation perspective as well as providing independent, confidential, and privileged legal advice.

In this role you will be working with Portfolio managers advising on complex cases relating to restrictive covenants.

Job responsibilities

Assisting the process in investment registration and communication with respective regulatory institutions
Conducting due diligence of new clients and business partners
Ensuring the funds are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Drafting and reviewing related legal documents
Assisting in the negotiation of agreements
Overseeing the legal and regulatory aspects of the life cycle of a fund including fund launches, fund authorisations/registration, postregistration maintenance, distribution and other regulatory advice etc.
Liaising with external parties including banks, auditors and external lawyers, and effectively managing the legal cost expenses
Providing legal advice for investment(s)
General advisory support on BAU legal and regulatory matters, such as identifying and advising on private client issues.
Stay up to date with regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring that the compliance program evolves as necessary.
Review and approve financial promotions/presentations and advise on global marketing & distribution queries across investment vehicles.
Review and execute agreements and legal documentation with clients, vendors etc

Qualification & experience

Fully qualified lawyer, admitted to practice in the UK
Previous inhouse financial services experience, as well as training/postqualification experience in investment firM/Financial services
An excellent knowledge and understanding of the law and applicable regulation.
Ability to work with people at all levels including the ability to provide constructive challenge and feedback to management of all levels of seniority.
Ability to prioritise and manage complex deliverables against tight timeframes.
Good team player with good negotiation skill and high attention to details

£55,000.00-£57,000.00 per year
