  • A wide ranging and challenging role that you don't have to sell your soul forthis business has SO much flexibility so you can also enjoy work life balance the best of both worlds
  • A genuinely fantastic working environment. The open plan finance office leads to a fun and busy environment of high performers who enjoy plenty of banter while they're at it.

The Employer:

A service group headquartered in Preston who are very well known locally who also boast some of the best staff retention rates we've seen.

They believe that their success is due to the ongoing support and investment their employees receive to develop and of the four people we have placed here in recent years, they all absolutely love working there.

The Opportunity:

It's a broad role, with monthly management accounts production but also heavy involvement in the annual budgeting and lots of cost analysis.

So this is a great role for someone who has had a little bit of insight and would like to gain more exposure.

Alongside this, you will liaise regularly with general managers of the sites you are responsible for, delivering reports and financial insights and so this is a nice step in the right direction for those heading down the business partnering route.

The Duties:

As Management Accountant you will support the business in the production of relevant and accurate accounting information.

Your role will be centred around the ongoing analysis of company performance to add value and advise on various factors that contribute to future growth.

Duties will include;

  • Production of monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations and P&L.
  • Providing support to management for budgets, forecasting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Developing and implementing internal control processes and maintaining costing models for the organisation
  • Payroll and pensions reporting
  • Ad hoc reporting/projects as required.

The Requirements:

While there is a lot of help and support from the Finance Manager and wider team, there are a few things they are looking for you to already have; profit and loss experience, knowledge of budgeting processes, reasonable excel knowledge (pivot table and SUMIF level) and above all else a willingness to learn and get involved.

You don't have to be qualified for this role, attitude and experience to date is what they will be focusing on.
