Based in the East Midlands and operating where required, offering a layered, practical and professional aid to the construction and property development industry.


Working with or alongside main/sub-contractors, developers, investors, architects, and homeowners, INCO provide services such as project management and management contracting/construction management, quantity surveying, estimating, contract administration, design and planning engagement and overall client representation, all of which allow us to engage at any point from concept to completion.


Purpose of Role:


The successful individual will work within our tight-knit project management and consultancy team, providing support to both our project manager, procurement and estimating manager as well as the Directors from time to time.

This will be on a series of tasks across a broad set of construction projects including refurbishment and new build, of which we engage in either some, or all of stages within a project, those being; feasibility, design, pre-construction, construction stages.


The role suits an individual that is a recent construction based field graduate, or undergraduate looking for a paid work placement, or within their earlier stages of their construction based career looking to broaden their experience and skillset.


Accountabilities:


Typical duties include, but not limited to:

  • Assistance in compiling full tender packs, including invitation to tender, specification, bill of quantities/schedule of works and drawings
  • Assist on procurement; sending out tender enquiries to main and subcontractors to obtain quotations, answering any RFI's before return date and analysing, via comparison, of returned tenders
  • Creating purchase orders and assistance in drafting main/subcontractor orders
  • Taking meeting minutes for inhouse meetings, contractor meetings and professional team/design meetings and distributing to all parties
  • Produce takeoffs via the use of our software
  • Assistance in producing programme of works for projects, and updating on regular basis when project is live in preparation for weekly/monthly client update reports
  • Attending site regularly solely, as well as with project and procurement & estimating manager
  • Ensuring health & safety alongside the project manager is continuously set at a high standard

Required Skills:


  • Strong organisational & time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to effectively and confidently liaise with internal staff and external clients in a professional, courteous and enthusiastic manner
  • Confident in own ability, to solve problems and to bring fresh ideas and solutions to the table
  • Background in Construction/Development environment, such as ongoing or completed education, time served apprenticeship, current or previous role in industry
  • Ability to work on own on spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel)
