Description
Smart Manufacturing Solutions are recruiting for a Press Brake Operator for our client within Stockton-on-Tees.

The production of high quality steel components via the operation of CNC Machining Centres, inclusive of:

  • Operating press brake machines.
  • Steel fettling and hole tolerance work.
  • Following part set up sheets.
  • Using hand tools such as pin grinders/ angle grinders.
  • Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/ production maintenance) and preoperation check sheets.
  • Documentation completion.
  • Manual handling tasks.
  • Following engineering drawings.
  • Weld repairs.
  • Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards.
  • Inspect all equipment to ensure it's in a safe working condition.
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Supporting first off checks and performing in batch checks as required, via the competent use of technical measuring equipment.

Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) practices at all times

Provide technical support to line management for incident and accident investigations and associated reporting and action closure.


Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them.

Identify opportunities for business improvements within the organisation.

Any ad-hoc duties as required from time to time by the Production Supervisor or other members of the management team


Shifts

  • Dayshift
  • Monday to Thursday 6am14:15pm, Friday 6am12:45pm


  • Backshift (if required)

  • Monday to Thursday 2:15pm22:30pm, Friday 12:45pm19:30pm
  • Nightshift ( if required)
  • Sunday 21:30pm 6am Monday to Thursday 22:30pm 6:20am

Rates:


  • Starting at £11.49 depending on skills and experience. Shift allowance and overtime available.

Essential skills and experience:


  • Must have at least 1 year's experience of operating CNC press brakes.
  • Ability to accurately fold according to engineering drawings.
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Keen to be part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willing to learn and develop within the company

Pay:
From £11.49 per hour
