Founded in 1952, it has over 55,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline.

General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession.

It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population.


The Transformational lead, Member Education is responsible for leading the work to continually improve the RCGP's CPD offering to its 55,000+ members, across online learning, events and publications.


As we work towards a new approach this role will lead a programme of transformation bringing together our professional learning and development into a coherent proposition.

This will involve delivering an excellent member experience by ensuring CPD is core to the Member Value Proposition (MVP).

The post holder will be experienced in change and project management as well as digital CPD delivery.

They will be leading a programme of transformation to bring together all aspects of the College's CPD work and ensure the digital member experience is accessible and intuitive.


  • Lead a transformation for our Member CPD offer, bringing together all aspects of our professional learning and development into a coherent proposition.
  • Define and lead reporting and tracking of member engagement KPIS for CPD
  • Define and deliver new processes as needed to ensure successful change of focus for the delivery teams.
  • Deliver the Member Value Proposition CPD transformation plan, ensuring more members understand, value and use our CPD.
  • Change manage digital transformation of our online CPD to ensure a seamless user experience when using, accessing and recording CPD.
Key Experience

  • Digital CPD delivery, Learning platforms and transformation
  • Delivering education or CPD programmes to professionals or adult learners
  • Change management and introducing a programme of transformational change
  • Working for an academic or membership organisation (desirable)
  • Previous work within, or related to, health sector (desirable)
