TXM Recruit are looking for a Section Leader to be a part of one of the UK's largest rolling stock manufacturing companies on a contract basis based in the North East.

Main Responsibilities:


Main duties of the position:


  • Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for area of responsibility
  • Effective leadership across a range of manufacturing issues within own section to hit QCDM KPIs
  • Formal and informal management of behaviours of team members
  • Act as an effective team member amongst peer group of Section Leaders
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and problem solving activity
  • Interact effectively with support department personnel
  • Maintain housekeeping level.
  • Contribute to building a culture of sharing good practice across the plant.
  • Monitor, control and minimise waste.
  • Lead daily communication meetings.
  • Deputise for Production Manager from time to time.
  • To be aware of and actively promote and implement the companies ethos, culture and values.
  • To be involved in staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.
  • To adhere to the companies Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • To comply with and implement the companies Health and Safety policy.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required

Qualifications:


  • Demonstration of ongoing personal development

Desirable Requirements:


  • Supervisory experience ideally in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the start up of a new manufacturing facility is an advantage
  • Project management skills
