TXM Recruit are looking for a Section Leader to be a part of one of the UK's largest rolling stock manufacturing companies on a contract basis based in the North East.
Main Responsibilities:
Main duties of the position:
- Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for area of responsibility
- Effective leadership across a range of manufacturing issues within own section to hit QCDM KPIs
- Formal and informal management of behaviours of team members
- Act as an effective team member amongst peer group of Section Leaders
- Facilitate continuous improvement and problem solving activity
- Interact effectively with support department personnel
- Maintain housekeeping level.
- Contribute to building a culture of sharing good practice across the plant.
- Monitor, control and minimise waste.
- Lead daily communication meetings.
- Deputise for Production Manager from time to time.
- To be aware of and actively promote and implement the companies ethos, culture and values.
- To be involved in staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.
- To adhere to the companies Equal Opportunities Policy.
- To comply with and implement the companies Health and Safety policy.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required

Qualifications:
- Demonstration of ongoing personal development
Desirable Requirements:
- Supervisory experience ideally in a production/manufacturing environment
- Experience in the start up of a new manufacturing facility is an advantage
- Project management skills
