Job Title -HGV Technician


Salary - £38,500 per annum, Veolia benefits *listed below


Location - Ditton Road, Widnes, WA8 0TH


Hours - 48 hours per week, Monday - Friday


Join us today and you will be eligible for a sign-on and retention bonus of £3,000

Sign-on - Is £1500 paid in 2 instalments (50% after 1 month, 50% after 12 months)


At Veolia, the HGV Technician will maintain and repair HGV vehicles and equipment to ensure health and safety is met.

The HGV Technician will ensure a safe working environment and will report any incidents to their line manager.


If you are an experienced HGV Technician/Fitter, have experience working on HGV trucks, are motivated and organised, we'd like to hear from you.


What you'll do

Main duties will include:
**- Undertake inspections, servicing and repairs to Veolia's fleet vehicles and equipment.

  • Ensure all servicing reports are up to date.
  • Use and operate workshop equipment and facilities safely.
  • Ensure the vehicles and workshop are left tidy and clean.
  • Report any hazards, or unsafe equipment to a manager.
  • Undertake any training that is required.

The experience you will need

Essential:


  • Experience working on HGV trucks.

Desirable:


  • Class 1 HGV licence.
  • Knowledge and experience of working on waste collection vehicles.
  • Level 3 qualified within HGV Mechanics.
  • Possess specialist knowledge and skills within welding and electrics.
