The Niche Partnership has teamed up with a modern logistics provider looking for its next Financial Controller to join their family-feel team on a permanent basis.

Based in Gosport, this ethos and value-driven business are looking for a proactive Financial Controller to join this dynamic culture, with the key success of the business being the people - and it shows with an average length of service being 9 years (not tomention the long list of staff benefits).

Brushing shoulders with the Managing Director, the successful Financial Controller will be commercial in their orientation and keen to add value beyond the confines of the finance function.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for:

Oversee the smooth running of the Finance and Commercial Functions
Production of the monthly management accounts including the provision of detailed analysis of any variance to budget
Production of the yearend accounts in preparation for audit and liaising with auditors when required
Preparation of the annual budget and forecasts
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards undertaking Company Secretarial duties
Management of insurance arrangements for the company including Group Life Assurance and Medical Insurance for employee benefits
Complete all statutory returns for all companies including VAT and PAYE
Forecasting cashflow
Dealing with banking and funding arrangements
Management of suppliers, including all utilities

What you will need:

Experience in a similar role such as: Financial Controller / Financial Director / Management Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant / Managing Directors
Qualified in ACCA / CIMA / ACA
Proficient in different ERP systems
Prior Management experience
Experience with Sage and SAP would be beneficial but not essential
