General Maintenance Coordinator Job Description - March 2024

About Faweather Grange;
We are a family run 5 star lodge park in Bradford, near Baildon - Yorkshire.

We have been running holidays for over 30 years and are looking for a passionate individual to take over the maintenance role of our 10 acre park.

We pride ourselves in customer satisfaction and feedback, this should be at the forefront of your mind when carrying out tasks in and around the lodges/Park.


  • Should be proficient following; Joinery experience, Electrical experience, Plumbing experience, building work ie laying pathways.
  • Selfmotivated individual who works well under pressure to complete tasks by a set time
  • A fit and healthy individual, most of the day will be spent on foot walking between areas of the park to and from lodges and jobs.

About The Job:

*Please take a look out our part time role if a full time tole is not for you*General duties: - Hot tub maintenance (training given if necessary).

  • Internal building checks i.e. smoke/carbon monoxide detector checks.
  • Replenishment of stock i.e. Hot tub chemicals, light bulbs, fuel, logs & kindling, etc.
  • Procurement of various materials & services.
  • Coordination of maintenance assistant & subcontractors.
  • Liaise with park manager & park owners.
  • Ensure all lodges are in full working order prior to guest checking in.
  • Organising and implementing maintenance schedule.
  • Provide 24/7 "on call" service whilst park owners are away.
  • Assist with guest arrivals if required.
  • General maintenance.

Hot tub maintenance:

  • All required training will be given prior.
  • Hot tub chemical levels should be checked by yourself or the maintenance assistant every day you are in.
  • Maintain chemical levels within safe parameters. Full description can be provided on request.
  • Closely inspect tub & filter area for debris.
  • Empty hot tub if chemical levels are 0, glass or any organic material is found or water clarity is poor. Some maintenance may require the hot tub to be emptied.
  • Maintain water clarity by either treating or emptying the water.
  • All hot tub functions, pumps, light, cover, strap are working correctly.
  • Attend to any fault codes that may occur. Refer to the blue folder for fault codes and hot tub parts suppliers & engineers.
  • Log all chemical readings, maintenance & actions taken on the daily work sheet.
  • Report any damage to Park manager.
  • Ensure hot tub casings & covers are presentable by wiping down or by painting.
  • Maintain pest control inside hot tub casings.
  • Hot tub covers must be strapped down when not in use.
  • Hot tub covers must have caution stickers displayed.
  • On a weekly basis replace filters, treat and rinse out used filters.
  • Replace main pumps, circulation pumps & sensors that may fail.
  • Ensure inventory of chemicals & spare parts is maintained.

Ground works:

  • Grass cutting, Hand mowing, strimming, Blowing, Leaf clearing, Litter picking, Edging, Maintenance, servicing & repair of all machinery.
  • With consideration to guests use the Ransom ride on mower to cut the field.
Ransom mower

  • All required training will be given prior.
  • Use and maintenance of ride on lawn mower
Lodge change over days

  • Immediate grounds to the lodge should be litter free.
  • Inspect lodge & contents, decking area & outside furniture for damage.
  • Carry out hot tub checks.
  • Count, record & replenish logs & kindling.
  • Check all lights are working correctly.
  • Ensure cooker timer is set to the correct time.
  • Switch off sauna & towel rails if left on.
  • Check hot water storage tank is warm & working correctly.
  • Heating is working & temperature is set (liaise with park manager).
  • All trip switches on the R.C.D are made with the cover in place.
  • Heating timers & lighting timers are set to the correct time & set to auto.
  • Empty hoovers and replace with new bags where needed.
  • Outside log walls are free of cobwebs.
  • Log any "go backs", complete any tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Remove & clean BBQ's and utensils.

Working Hours:


  • 3 days per week
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday min unpaid lunch)
  • Saturday cover is required on occasion (most likely taken as a swap for a midweek working day)
  • Total paid hours per week average 22.5

Probationary Period:


  • 3 months
  • During this period all the required training will be carried out
  • Pay during probationary period will be £13 PH

Pay:


  • You will be paid up to £14ph (after probation period of 3 months).
  • Overtime must be agreed in advance and is paid at your normal hourly rate.
  • On call days; There will be times when the owners go away which require you to cover the maintenance phone for problems/emergencies. Each day you are on call you will be paid £10.
  • 16.5 days paid holiday, public holidays are often work days and are taken in lieu.
