Autograph Recruitment are working with a leading, award-winning regional firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors based in Cardiff who are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant
.



The role:


As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the Finance Team with a broad range of activities, including helping clients with their bookkeeping queries, making supplier payments and producing management accounts.


Other duties will include:

  • Calculating and preparing year end management account adjustments and journals
  • Assisting in the preparation of Corporation Tax Computations
  • Undertaking VAT return preparation work
  • Assisting with bookkeeping on Cloud or traditional software packages
  • Reconciling control accounts and investigating differences
  • Communicating with HMRC as and when required

- An AAT qualification or be training towards one, possess equivalent knowledge or have experience of bookkeeping processes & VAT retrurns

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to remain professional at all times
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A good working knowledge of Xero, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Be able to work within a team
