DESIGN/AUTOCAD APPRENTICE

CONTRACT TYPE:
FULL-TIME (37.5 hours per week)


LOCATION:
BRAINTREE, ESSEX

JPJ Installations are a construction subcontractor specialising in Kawneer windows, doors and curtain walling.

Our projects typically range in value from £10,000 - £4M on behalf of many Main Contractors including Willmott Dixon, Kier, Morgan Sindall and Laing O'Rourke.


We are now looking for an apprentice to work within our busy design department whilst undertaking an apprenticeship in Engineering Design and Draughting Level 3.

You will learn to produce plans, elevations and sections using AutoCAD software in line with Architects and Engineers designs and specifications and will gain an understanding of the entire construction process following completion of design.

20% of your time will be spent undertaking off the job learning. This includes online lessons with the apprenticeship provider, undertaking guided learning and a preparing a range of assignments.

You must have 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C/4-9 including English and Maths.

A GCSE in a construction or design related field would also be beneficial although is not essential to be considered for this role.


You must have a keen interest in construction, specifically in the architectural aluminium/structural glazing field, and have a genuine interest in technology or design.

Strong mathematical skills and an ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail are essential.
