Description

As a Category Planner in health, beauty and wellness you will:

  • Support delivery of our category plan
  • delivering Be More High Street and Exploding Service pillars by building brand relationships, supporting sales driving initiatives with our beauty experts, landing a comprehensive sampling calendar and landing our key NPD and big bets.
  • Support and evolve the delivery of Beauty Service across all of our stores, working with key experts, retail owners and our commercial teams here in SSC.
  • Manage and deliver induction training for all new stores and Beauty Experts
  • Work directly with L&D to ensure Beauty Training is up to date and best in class content is provided for our Beauty Experts. Liaise with Learning Tech to set events up on My Sainsbury's Learning (MSL)
  • Work with our Trading Team and supply base to work up brand and product knowledge training to bring range reviews to life for our Beauty Experts, supporting them with awareness of NPD's and key big bets, ensuring we land strong in store activations and customer engagement activity
  • Support in organising and landing our first ever Beauty Conference and other category events
  • Represent HBW internally to champion what the category can offer, securing buyin and resources that will elevate the customer experience in and out of the store, including with digital and PR
  • Support optimising the beauty proposition, building strong relationships with Retail Delivery, Property and Retail teams.
  • Support driving conversion into beauty and enhance our customer experience, delivering key beauty projects such as digital screen roll out and kit enhancements.
  • Regular competitor visits to benchmark and ensure we have awareness of innovations in the Beauty space

Our Health, Beauty and Wellness team would love to see:

  • Solid understanding of commercial, retail and customers
  • buying or promotions knowledge is an advantage, although not a requirement
  • Strong analytical skills turning data into insight, problem solving, and developing recommendations to present to stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills building great working relationships and providing support and challenge to stakeholders at different levels
  • Ambitious and motivated takes initiative to solve problems and improve processes, thinks independently & willing to learn and grow, driven to succeed
  • Excellent project management skills thrives on planning, prioritising, and coordinating able to drive timelines and identify risks and opportunities
  • Robust Excel and PowerPoint skills
