    Assistant Management Accountant

    Reports to the Head of Group Reporting.

    Location: London. Full-time, permanent contract with 42.5 hours per week.

    Broadwick is an international company with its headquarters in London. We create, develop, own and operate a diverse portfolio of venues, spaces, events and experiences.

    We believe in redefining spaces and how people experience music, art, culture and recreation by breaking down traditional barriers.

    Our history and heritage are deeply rooted in music. We built a portfolio of 20 global festivals before selling it in 2019 to focus on our growing portfolio of venues.

    These include Printworks London, Depot Mayfield Manchester, Drumsheds London, Exhibition London and Magazine London.

    We strive to push boundaries and disrupt the cultural landscape by combining big thinking, bold ideas and commercial intelligence.

    This enables us to produce spaces and experiences for discerning audiences in inspiring locations.

    Our Finance Team:

    Our Finance team are passionate about accuracy, beautifully presented data and driving insight into company performance.

    We love spreadsheets and KPIs but also strive to understand the business further and partner effectively with key stakeholders.

    This helps everyone understand the levers that impact the business the most.

    What We're Looking For:

    We're looking for a motivated person to join the Finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing and reporting all financial data for the various entities that make up the collective Broadwick Group.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Finance Administration

    • Process expenses and maintain up-to-date company records for the finance team.
    • Maintain and reconcile cashbooks.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and develop relationships with business partners.
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Conduct overhead analysis (including prepayments, accruals and variance analysis).
    • Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the group to be reviewed by each unit.
    • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
    • Maintain fixed asset registers.
    • Process monthly and fortnightly payroll data.
    • Help commercial teams perform IR35 checks.
    • Maintain users on ERP system.
    • Maintain AP document scanning system.
    • Support the wider team as required.

    • Communicate your training needs and actively participate in your own development in line with the line manager's expectations.
    • Create a work environment that aligns with Broadwick values and principles.

    Additional Duties

    • Carry out ad hoc duties when required.

    Requirements:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt your messaging for different audiences.
    • A basic understanding of the structure and purpose of financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow statement).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to support and coordinate multiple projects within the finance team.
    • A strong sense of ownership, with the ability to independently manage tasks and take the lead on briefs when required.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
