Permanent, 18.5 hours per week


You will need to be skilled in undertaking purposeful direct work with children and young people to really gain an understanding of their lived experiences and what support they feel they need to improve their daily lives and outcomes.


You will need to be able to work collaboratively with families, in a strength based and trauma informed approach, and be empathic and support families to be aspirational.

You will support families in becoming more resilient and develop greater confidence in their skills. We want the best for families and to help them to sustain change.


The role requires weekend working to provide home visits to our families most in need and deliver a group for our children and young people to attend on a Saturday morning, this will be reflected with a weekend working enhancement.


In order to accomplish all this for our children, young people and their families you will receive a thorough induction and training, regular supervision, annual appraisal and experience a strong and supportive team culture.


A relevant NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in an associated field i.e. Child Care, Youth Work, Working with Children and Young People is an essential requirement of the role.
