Here is the opportunity to play a key role in an innovative, fast-paced fin-tech lender based outside of London.

The company is on an exciting journey of growth, with the product being launched imminently, and is recruiting for a Credit Risk Lead to comein and take ownership of the credit risk strategy and underwriting function.


THE ROLE


This is initially an individual contributor role where you will be responsible for setting up the automated underwriting tools and processes including for affordability and creditworthiness.

This includes establishing data-driven processes across the underwritingand loan processing function (from scratch) and monitoring portfolio performance & loss rates as well as delivering the credit risk acquisitions strategy using open banking data

  • Ownership and management of the entire acquisitions process from a credit risk and underwriting perspective
  • Build and develop automated tools for onboarding new customers using open banking data
  • Use your experience and analytical skills to identify opportunities to improve the existing underwriting and credit analysis framework
  • Develop the automated lending strategy, which seeks to maximise the proportion of decisions that are processed automatically

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive credit risk analytics experience
  • Strong background in data and analytic
  • An ability to manipulate and analyse data using tools like SQL, Python etc
  • A track record of delivering process and operational improvements of a credit risk decision platform and loan approval processes
  • Good understanding of the commercial drivers within a lending business
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with different stakeholders internally and externally
  • Strong statistical background with a degree from a numerate discipline
