The West Area Team is looking for experienced, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist/Administrator to work at Hwb Iechyd Eifionydd (Criccieth & Porthmadog).

This practice is managed by the Local Health Board.


Previous experience of working within a GP Practice would be beneficial and knowledge of the EMIS clinical system is desirable, however training can be given.

The demands of a GP practice can change on a daily basis and therefore this role will be challenging.

The post holder will be booking appointments and dealing with patient queries therefore excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner is required.


Proficient IT skills (including experience of Microsoft office) is also required as the post holder will also be undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the practices, including some data inputting.


The post holder will also be expected to work at other health board managed practices in the west area on an adhoc basis to meet service needs and to cover staff absences.

This will be discussed at interview.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post
