Cloud AWS Architect

Status:
Permanent, salary + bonus

Location:
Remote based UK, occasional travel

Role:

The organisation is a global figure, with multi-billion £ in revenue and operate across several industries, including retail, wholesale, EV and solar.

They are currently undergoing a significant technology change initiative and are moving towards a flexiblemicroservice based Serverless Architecture.

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for working within a greenfield environment helping the software engineering teams to build new services utilising AWS services, with a serverless first mindset.

The Person:

Must come from an Engineering background, likely career path would have been Software Engineer > Principal Developer > Architect.

Applicants need to have experience with AWS, Serverless, Lambda, DynamoDB and Typescript or Node.

Skills / experience:

Strong documentation and diagram experience
Experience in architecting end to end, from technical design from inception to production governing and creating solution design documents
Communicate solution capabilities/possibilities and ability to assess business needs across integration complexity and architecture constraints
Ability to present ideas, and work with experienced engineers
Ability to analyse and select buy vs build capabilities and ensuring reusability where appropriate
Any experience with Domain Driven Design

This role can be located anywhere remotely from the UK, occasional travel to offices (based in the North East) where required, this will be limited
