About the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team on a permanent basis.

You will work closely with the maintenance and engineering team to maintain, install, and process service equipment that support our pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in the central Edinburgh.

This is a demanding role therefore we are looking for an experienced fitter ideally hat has worked in hazardous environments.

You will need to be reliable and good team worker and be able to communicate well with your colleagues and other departments.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintenance, breakdown repair and installation of
  • Process plant vessels, pumps, centrifuges, ovens etc.
  • Utilities plant boilers, compressors etc.
  • Safety Equipment safety valves, bursting discs, pressure gauges.
  • Environmental Equipment scrubbers, incinerators.
  • Pipework
  • Glass equipment
  • Familiar with the use of ERP systems.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out in safe manner in accordance with site permit system, quality system.
  • Work to cGMP standards following detailed SOP's.
  • Participate in section efficiency improvements.

What you need for the role
Experience of working in a process and service plant maintaining and installing similar chemical plant equipment.

A recognised apprenticeship qualification and ONC/NC or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Awareness of COMPEX
