Role Overview:

To support the accurate and timely execution of Fanatics payrolls; both through effectively managing payroll operations.

Including contract and casual payroll calculation and processing, for up over 2000 employees across multiple countries payrolls including UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany India, Honduras, Thailand and Spain, with the possibility of further countries in line with business growth.

This role is on a temporary basis with view to end in February 2024.


Responsibilities:


  • Support in processing biweekly and monthly payrolls, liaising with appropriate sign off sought, working closely with both HR and Finance teams to deliver appropriate people and accounting reports.
  • Analysing and producing reports on hours, pay and overtime costs
  • Working with our Time and Attendance systems, and resolving any anomalies efficiently
  • Work closely with 3rd party providers to prepare yearend tax statements in all responsible countries (or equivalent)
  • Process, administer, input and audit information for all aspects of the payroll cycles
  • Work with HR to ensure that UKG is updated properly, so the information flows over to Activ8 accurately and in a timely manner (particular focus on new hires).
  • Help Create/Review Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Help add new employees to Activ8 payroll system.
  • Proper retention of payroll records and documentation.
  • Be part of a truly global HR and Payroll function
  • Collaborate with business partners to implement process improvements, test system changes, and lead special projects related to the payroll department
  • To liaise closely with Finance, ensuring that monthly reconciliations for budget control purposes are undertaken
  • Regular contact with auditors both external and internal on payroll related matters
  • To identify, be familiar with, research, and communicate the potential payroll implications to the Global Payroll Director, HR Director and wider Senior Team of existing and proposed legislation

Knowledge and Experience:


  • UK & International (Payroll experience including multiple currencies, time zones & legislation
  • Robust excel and computerised systems skills
  • Strong customer service and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment and support of multiple clients, under tight deadlines
  • Highly proficient in interpreting payroll rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of pension schemes, practices and pension scheme administration
  • Good IT skills with experience implementing payroll and time systems in medium sized organisations
  • Demonstrate the ability to have strong communication skills both written and oral and be able to work using your own initiative.
  • Knowledge of Payroll standards, benchmarking and performance indicators
At times will require working outside of normal business hours to support workload and partner time zones.
