James Walker & Co Ltd is looking to recruit an Operator at our manufacturing site in Cockermouth, Cumbria.

This role will be on the day shift.

Main duties of this role will include but are not limited to:

Weighing out ingredients, mixing, milling and packing of rubber compounds to support the JW manufacturing operation.
Processing of boughtin fabrics into reels for use in the manufacturing operation.
Responsibility for quality of own work.
Any other adhoc duties as and when required.
Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment (this is preferred but is not essential).
A flexible approach to duties.
The ability to pay particular attention to detail and quality of work.
The ability to build great relationships.
Good communication skills.
Willingness to work as part of a team.
A proactive approach to work and getting things done.
Basic IT skills.
